County of Northampton, Virginia

COURTHOUSE ROAD WATER MAIN EXTENSION

The County of Northampton, Virginia is accepting sealed bids for the construction of an approximately 3,000 LF 8-inch ductile iron water main along the west side of Courthouse Road (Business Route 13) within the state maintained right-of-way, including various service connections and the abandonment of an existing 4” water main. Sealed bids may be submitted either as a physical hard copy or electronically through eVA, the Virginia Department of General Services central electronic procurement website. Faxed or emailed proposals are not acceptable. Bids will be received until 2:30 PM, Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter. Physical bids received after the assigned time will not be accepted and will be returned to the bidder unopened.

The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding.

The truck is located at the County Landfill, 20371 Seaside Road, Cape Charles, Virginia, and can be viewed between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

Bids will be received until 3:00 p.m., April 25, 2025, at the County Administrator’s Office, 16404 Courthouse Road, Eastville, Virginia, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read.    Bids can be mailed to the County Administrator’s Office, PO Box 66, Eastville, Virginia  23347 or delivered to the Courthouse Road Offices.

The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional bids.
