Northampton County is committed to providing public safety services to its residents and visitors. This includes; law enforcement and correctional services provided by the Northampton County Sheriff's Office, emergency medical and emergency management services provided (in cooperation with several volunteer Fire/EMS agencies) by the Northampton County Department of Emergency Medial Services, and emergency 9-1-1 and fire/rescue dispatch services provided by the Eastern Shore of Virginia 9-1-1 Commission.
