NORTHAMPTON COMMUNITY CENTER METAL ROOF RETROFIT – PHASE II
The County of Northampton, Virginia is accepting sealed bids for the retrofit of certain areas of roofing at the Northampton Community Center (former Northampton Middle School) located at 7247 Young Street, Machipongo, VA 23405. Generally, the work will consist of providing approximately 22,100, square feet of a metal retrofit framing and roof system over a portion of the existing roofs. Sealed bids may be submitted as a physical hard copy or electronically through eVA, the Virginia Department of General Services central electronic procurement website. Faxed or emailed proposals are not acceptable. Bids will be received until 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 27, 2024. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter. Physical bids received after the assigned time will not be accepted and will be returned to the bidder unopened.
A pre-bid conference for interested contractors will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Northampton Community Center, Room 30, located at 7247 Young Street, Machipongo, VA 23405. Attendance at the pre-bid conference shall be mandatory for those submitting a bid.

The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding.
All bidders are subject to and must comply with the provisions of Northampton County's Equal Employment Opportunity Policy and applicable State and Federal anti- discrimination laws.
All bidders must have appropriate licensing in Virginia with either a General Contractor’s license with the proper financial limits, or Specialty Roofing, plus a Specialty Metal Erector license with proper financial limits.
