Northampton County 2024 Personal Property Tax and Real Estate Tax bills are currently being mailed out.
Envelopes must be postmarked on or before December 5, 2024. There is a 10% Penalty – 10% Interest per year if not paid by due date.

• Use online payment system at Official Payments. Please be aware the taxpayer will be charged a 3% convenience fee for credit card payments.
• You may also call in the payment to the Northampton County Treasurer's office with your credit card information at 757-678-0450.
The 3% convenience fee for credit card payments will still apply.

Northampton County accepts checks, cash, money orders and all major credit cards.
Please check for accuracy. Processing may be delayed if the check amount does not match the amount on the coupon or if payments were made through a bank bill pay.

Reminder: Some Real Estate tax payments are received electronically from mortgage companies through escrow accounts. These are received by the Treasurer’s office on or before the December 5th deadline. Please check with your mortgage lender to determine if your taxes are paid through your escrow.
