Virginia's fire season is here and with it, the 4 p.m. burn law takes effect. Between Feb. 15 and April 30, open-air burning is restricted until 4 p.m.
Control Burns should be reported to the 9-1-1 Center at (757)787-0911 prior to ignition.
If you must burn, be cautious and informed. Visit 4 PM Burning Law page on the Virginia Department of Forestry website for more info on regulations and why Virginia has this law.
